Salem Oregon Horse Property: 2016 NW Equine Expo in Oregon

2016 NW Equine Expo in Oregon

It's almost here! The Northwest Horse Fair and Expo is about to open it's doors for over 10,000 equestrians again This Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The hours are from 10am to 8 pm on Friday, 9am to 8pm on Saturday and 9am to 6pm on Sunday.  Tickets are $12 at the gate, cash only, parking is $4.  You can pick up tickets in advance at various feed stores for $10 each, see the list of partipating stores.  You can also receive $1 off addmission by bringing a non-parishable food item on Friday for the food drive.

Dressage horse Tinkerbell

I would like to personally invite you to watch the 4pm Dressage Clinic on Friday, March 18th.  One of my mares, Tinkerbell, will be ridden by trainer Carrie Allen as one of the demo riders.

If this is your first time attending, there are a few things you need to know to make your day successful.  For starters, arrive early!  Get the program, and select all of the clinics and presentations you want to watch.  There are 2 arenas running at all times, plus a lecture hall.  Wear comfortable boots, because you will likely be crossing the grounds multiple times.  There are also 2 large buildings full of vendors offering everything from tack, food, clothing, feed, trailers and real estate.  Plan to stay all day, as the first round of the Super Horse Challenge starts at 6:00pm Friday night.  You won't want to miss that!

Another helpful tip is to shop early Friday morning, it's a big shopping day.  It's helpful to run your goodies back to the truck so you are not packing around extra stuff all day.

There are several flyer boards around the facility.  If you have a horse or trailer to sell, be sure to bring a few flyers to post.

Lastly, be sure to stop by our booth, for and Keller Williams Realty to say "hi" and enter to win a Go Pro!  You can wear it while trail riding to film the scenery, film your cow sorting or have your trainer wear it during your lesson to film hands-free!

Get back on that horse and do some blogging! Happy to see you on my post yesterday. It has been almost EXACTLY a year since your last post. Since I saw you last, I now have a small ranch, 1/2 mile from Fishhawk Lake and own a registered Paint Palomino and a darling (and huge) mule, Pearl and Della...I call them my "Designing Women".
